I’ve been practicing more and more, the art of BE-ing, rest, and self-care, as an embodied state, rather than “things” on my to-do list.
I’ve created this magical space in my life, where I have the time freedom to feel into what my body, mind and spirit need in each moment.
I’m shifting the paradigm around what “working” looks like, and how it feels. And you know what? If it doesn’t feel good, I don’t do it. It’s that simple.
Someone asked me the other day if I do “energy work” in my coaching sessions. I thought the question was curious, and I sat with it, after the conversation.
What I’ve concluded is that energy work, is my way of being. No, I’m not constantly doing focused Reiki. However, all day long, I’m playing with energy, and am tuned into where my energy is.
Before I get on a coaching call, I clear my energy, so I can be a clear channel. That’s my energy work. I allow spirit to move through me, in everything I do and say.
When I write, it’s energy work. I’m transmitting energy through words, and onto paper, or a screen…for you to take in and absorb.
And I’m conscious of the energy I’m working with, so that it comes through with the highest possible value.
With this type of work, it requires me to be a state of BE-ing, instead of DO-ing, at all times.
It requires rest, when I need to rest and integration.
It requires doing whatever I need to do to keep myself in alignment. And when I’m in alignment, the action & inspiration come from that space…NOT from my head or to-do list.
The art of BE-ing, rest, and receiving takes practice, as it’s not how we’re raised…and there’s a lot of engrained belief systems to bust through.
That said, with dedication, it’s the most profoundly enjoyable state to embody.
